I started my career in 1999 as an early founder during the first wave of the internet in Silicon Valley, building mobile-first ventures in the pre-smartphone era.
My move back to India coincided with the launch of the iPhone, which created the mobile app economy. Since then, I have been backing consumer and fintech startups that are removing friction from the daily lives of Indians everywhere.
The companies I have seeded have created a billion dollars of wealth for their investors. With 8i, my goal is to back 100 challenger brands in consumer products and fintech over the next decade.

I began my career at Hindustan Unilever, selling Lakme cosmetics in Bihar. Later I moved to HQ, working across marketing and P&L roles in oral care and soaps, where I handled the CloseUp and Lux brands for India.
My itch to work at an earlier stage company took me to Urban Ladder, building a much-loved D2C furniture brand, and then to fashion marketplace Voonik as CMO, before I co-founded 8i ventures.
I love products that bring joy to the lives of people and founders who have a high bar for customer experience. Through 8i, those are the kind of ideas I want to back.
